Pediatric Physical Therapy
Brinda Rathod is the pediatric physical therapist at Home Base Physical Therapy. She has been living and practicing in and around the Morristown area for over 11 years.
Pediatric physical therapy specializes in the treatment and management of children from birth to twenty one years old. With the aim function properly in their home school and community.
It is important that the therapist works closely with the family and/or caregivers. An important part of the treatment plan is family education so that there is carryover in the home, school, and community. There will also be an assessment for any bracing and mobility needs, with the appropriate referral to obtain these devices. Any other recommendations for equipment in the home or school will also be made by the the therapist.
Brinda Rathod, PT, MSPT, CLT
Brinda graduated from Saint Joseph’s Univeristy in 2003 in Interdisciplinary Health Services. She then received her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2005. Since graduating, she has worked primarily with children and adults with developmental disabilities. She has pediatric experience in early intervention, outpatient, inpatient, and school settings. She became a certified lymphedema therapist in 2016 to help people manage their lymphedema with complete decongestive therapy including manual lymph drainage and multi-layer compression bandaging.
